WILDERNESS PERMITS for our guests are issued from our commercial quota, NOT from the general public quota.

Base Camps Enjoy as many carefree vacation days as you choose in the JOHN MUIR WILDERNESS area with complete accommodations, including meals provided by a qualified packer and outfitter. We invite singles, couples, families and groups of all kinds to join others and enjoy beautiful scenery, good fishing, and have comfortable accommodations with meals and horses provided.
Spot Trips You are taken by horseback, and your gear and provisions by pack animal to a desirable campsite on a lake or stream. The stock and packer return for you on a predetermined date. Your length of stay does not affect the charges. You furnish your own camp gear and food.
All-Expense Private Pack Trips Deluxe fully outfitted service for those desiring a private pack trip. We furnish stock, packers, a cook, food and camping equipment for duration of trip. You have a choice of a wide selection of menu options. We plan your itinerary to meet your group's needs.
Dunnage and Cache The load is packed to a specified location and you hike to meet it. "Some hike and others ride" falls into this category.
Continuous Hire of Packer and Stock On these trips you hire us to pack you and your supplies around the Sierras. We will take you wherever you want to go and stay with you throughout the duration of the trip. We move your camp to each of the places you want to stay and on layover days we are available to take you on day rides.
